From the time of establishment Merit Pokhara pledged to work on the path led by World Merit. Keeping SDG as core principle, Merit Pokhara always aimed to build confidence and raise aspirations in sustainable way. As a initiation Merit Pokhara conducted its first event in September 11 2017 which was 60 second International Film festival screening in coordination with open space network which screened 40 films at different locations of Pokhara .10 movies were Nepali whereas other was taken from 13 different countries. The film was based on Peace, Education, Humor, Tourism, Democracy and other social indicators. It was the small initiation to achieve SDG no. 9 i.e. INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE. The event main vision was to encourage short film makers from within our locality and raise awareness in the society, and encourage film makers to bring innovation and productive change in the nation via positive message.
